Here's where we excel.. we build the very finest, most robust battery packs you can get anywhere, tailored for R/C flight operations.

All our packs are built from the finest NiMH and Nicad cells currently available.

All of them can be fast charged at the field and are designed to perform with unsurpassed dependability in the most demanding R/C environments.

Exceptional Quality, No Compromises.

Note: Sanyo has sold it's NiCad production facilities to Panasonic, it's NiMH production facilities to FDK/Twicell. Current production is of the same quality, most retained lines are still made in the same production facilities. Please bear with us as we continue to update the website to reflect the steadily diminishing availability of QUALITY NiMH & NiCad cells, our pack labeling and cart system with the new branding.

Using the Impedance Rating
to pick the right pack for the way you Fly.

Most folks react to the 'capacity' rating alone as being the biggest part of their decision in selecting a pack for their big aggressive birds. This can lead to big trouble on board the aircraft. Just as cells are evaluated for capacity, in high load applications you need to take into consideration what the cells voltage performance will be when loads are applied. All battery technologies react to servo loads with a voltage drop while the load is applied. It's really very simple.. the higher the cells impedance rating, the greater the voltage drop will be while servo loads are applied. Rule of Thumb for cell selection: Impedance Ratings are like a Golf Score. The lower, the better. Aircraft in agressive aerobatic enviornments employing digital high torque servos should carry a cell impedance score of 10 mOhms or less.  As an example, one of the most popular lightweight packs used in IMAC aircraft is the Sanyo HR 2700AUX.. plenty of capacity, but the impedance rate on the cell is 20 mOhms. Pretty high.. but if it's used in parallel with another 2700 pack the impedance rate is cut in half to 10 mOhms (and the available capacity is doubled). This is why you usually see this pack employed in parallel in IMAC birds and used without issues as a single pack in a giant Cub.

NoBS  1200  A Series Nicad 4 & 5 Cell Rx & Ignition Packs

1200cell2.JPG
Cell Size: Full A
Type: High Rate Nicad
Dimensions: .67 x 1.99
Cell Weight: 1.1oz
Impedance: 10 mOhms
Here's a reduex of the venerable Cadnica A sized Nicad.. long the favorite of sport and giant scale fliers alike. Being an 'A' sized cell it's the same height as the oem AA's and slightly larger in diameter than AA. It is significantly smaller than the bigger Sub-C Nicad packs, yet it has enough grunt to handle any ignition load and moderate digital servo loading. It can also be reliably fast charged at the field. In higher drain aggressive applications or just for redundancy in medium sized Warbirds we routinely use it in parallel for a capacity and load carrying boost on board without excessive weight gain.
12006v.JPG

Available as 4.8v (4 cell) flat or square pack, or 6.0v (5 cell) flat or 3x2 square pack. Built with extra HD Quadruple Welded 1/4" wide straps & finished in HD Rubberized 3M MilSpec shrink.

STATUS UPDATE 9/21: The NiCAD 1200's are no longer available. For packs with the same physical dimensions use the NiMH HR-2700 AU's (scroll down the page)

1300 Series '2/3 A Sized' Rx & Ignition Pack
-
Back by popular demand...The Elite 2/3A sized Rx & Ignition packs remain the 'go-to' pack for small flyers and sailplanes where footprint and weight are critical. Like it's taller 'full A & 4/5 A height' cousins (below), it's dependable, tolerates mild abuse in high temp/high vibration ignition environments. These lil guys are still a sold Rx pack pick for .25 to .45 sized birds and sailplanes of all flavors. Also an excellent ignition pack for the dinky 10cc gas engines. Fast charge capable and low impedance make this the preferred pack when small footprint & light weight demands are coupled with small digital and high torque micro servos..  Price includes 22g JR/Univ leads. Custom sailplane shapes available.

The HR-2700AU Series Rx & Ignition pack, run in Parallel, dominated Giant Scale projects with size and weight restrictions for decades prior to the arrival of Li-Ion. A solid and dependable performer, it remains a popular ignition system favorite in Giant Scale warbirds and as an Rx pack in mildly aerobatic applications with moderate servo loading. For aggressive flying & with digital servos they are at their best used in a Parallel Pack system with dual switches to cut voltage drop relative to impedance AND improve total flying capacity. Price includes 18g JR/Univ conn. Custom cabling and connectors available.

The NiMH 3000 Sub-C has been with us a long time... dependability and load carrying capability being paramount, this cell sits on top. It's the highest capacity NiMH we'll stock... the 4000 - 4500 ma 'paint ball' cells just can't compare when it comes to reliable service in rough conditions.  Always a favorite in big warbirds, tow planes and anyplace else where the work is serious and dependability under load counts.
